World Cup – Biggest Goal Scorers

There are players past and present that will be remembered for their efforts for their country in the World Cups that have or will happen. In reality, the hero's of the sport are not the people that make the great plays; they are simply the people that tend to score goals on a regular basis.

#10 Teofilo Cubillas

Teofilo Cubillas started his World Cup career in 1970, and played his last tournament in 1982. He was an asset to the team, which can be seen with his goal count, which tallied to 10 by the end of his stretch.

#9 Gary Lineker

Gary Linekar was an inspiration to the UK based England team. He will be remember for his appearance in the 1986 world cup where he scored 6 goals, then another 4 in 1990.

#8 Gabriel Batistuta

Gabriel Batistuta is the flying Argentinean, and certainly made some great and questionable plays throughout his career. 1994-2002 were his glory days, where he managed to get a total of 10 goals in a very exciting way.

#7 Helmut Rahn

Helmut Rahn is possibly not as well know as the others, mainly due to the fact that he participated back in 1954, and also in 1958. He managed to score 10 goals in just 9 games for Argentina.

Jurgen Klinsmann was certainly someone that everyone will remember for years to come - a popular German player. Throughout 1990, 1994 and 1998, he managed to score 11 goals.

Hungary is not necessarily a country that is associated with fame. That being said, Sandor Kocsis did a great job, when he managed 11 goals.
