Will Kurt Warner Lead The Arizona Cardinals To The 2009 Playoffs?

The Arizona Cardinals had a very odd 08' season. The Cardinals barely made the playoffs and many said they were the worst team to make the playoffs in a very, very long time.

The Arizona Cardinals are notorious for losing year after year and not spending money on the "big time" players. These last few years have proved to be different ironically.

The Cardinals lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII in a very dramatic game. The Cardinals lead after 2:47 in the fourth quarter but couldn't stop the Steelers from driving down the field and scoring to seal the win.

The team opened up the season with a very disappointing win against the 49ers at home in Arizona. Losing a game that was expected by many to be an easy win was no way to start a football season.

The Cardinals are not yet what they were at the end of the 08' season, not by far. This doesn't mean they can't capture lightening in a bottle again. Kurt Warner is the savoy veteran who can change his game around quickly - how could you not with the talent at WR position the Cardinals have.

The Cardinals are still in a very winnable division - with the only other contender being the San Francisco 49ers lead by head coach and Mr. "I Want Winners" Mike Singletary.

The Cardinals have an average schedule which shouldn't be too difficult, playing the St. Louis Rams twice and Detroit Lions should give the Cardinals games to rack up wins.
