The Dallas Cowboys Fall Short
The last few seasons for the Dallas Cowboys have caused the team and fans serious heartbreak. The 07' 13-3 season ended with a disappointing loss to the New York Giants in the divisional playoffs, the 08' season ended in a 9-7 season missing the playoffs. The last game of the regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles was an embarrassment, 44-6 loss.
Tony Romo was appointed the next great quarterback prematurely perhaps - that doesn't excuse the rest of the team under performing over the years.
A plasma television above the field was bigger than any high definition unit in the history of the world. The picture looked crystal clear, just as clear as the plasma TV set I watched the game on. Too bad it may interfere with punks and kickoffs at times. Not sure who planned that?
After a nice week one win for the Cowboys in Tampa Bay, many doubts were answered regarding the Cowboys' ability to shoulder the loss of Terrell Owens and play effective football. Tony Romo looked phenomenal at quarterback, and the team clicked as a unit.
The Giants were a difficult opponent for the Cowboys, and this game might not be as easy to win. Many experts varied in their predictions for this game, and it was bound to be a close one. Romo vs. Manning, what a great rivalry.
The Cowboys play in the very difficult NFC East with the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles - playing these teams twice a year will show how worthy the Cowboys are to contend in the NFC.
While the Cowboys do look like one of the better teams in the NFL, this was a game they should have won. However, the Giants defense usually finds away to make things happen.
As long as Tony Romo can keep it together, the Dallas Cowboys can compete with any team in the NFL.
