The Ravens Just Might Have What it Takes

The Baltimore Ravens are a fairly new franchise in the NFL. It took a lot of time, stress, and conversations for Art Modell to get the NFL to agree to the Ravens moving to Baltimore (from Cleveland). The first two years, of their new career, was spent in Memorial Stadium (the home of the Baltimore Colts). After this stint, the Raven’s new stadium was ready for play. Over the next 10 years the stadium would undergo numerous name changes, leaving the Ravens without a true ‘home’.

The Chicago Bears – A Hopeful 2010 Season

The Chicago Bears have been one of NFL’s favorite teams for many years, and the ‘09 season didn’t appear to be any different. The Bears started their career, in professional football, back in 1919, making them one of the oldest teams in the NFL today. The team played so well, even back in the day, that they didn’t even know what a losing streak was, not until 1929. In 1921, the Bears began playing against the Green Bay Packers, which is still their #1 rival; these two teams have been battling it out on the field for years with no end in sight. In 1922 the Chicago Bears took on the colors they have today, yet another constant the team has been lucky enough to experience over the years.

A Classic Duel Is On Its Way

Many will tell you that the key to a football team’s success is its quarterback. After all, someone who can successfully find receivers is bound to put points on the scoreboard for his team. Still, others will tell you that it’s defense that wins championships. This year, though, was the year of the quarterback.

Jacksonville Jaguars Will Start 2009 With A Vengeance

The Jacksonville Jaguars are still a fairly new NFL franchise. Jacksonville was one of the last places the NFL thought they would add a franchise, but it has proven to be a profitable decision. Fans, every year, stand by their team by purchasing tickets and merchandise, regardless of how good or bad they may be playing. After a rough year last season, fans are already talking about buying season tickets for 2009.

A Memorable Season for the Giants

The Giants are playing, what appears to be, the same schedule they played in the ‘08 season. Well, if not the same, it’s pretty close. The Giants will be hosting their games against the Eagles and Panthers, just like they did last season. Additionally, they will be playing their three rivals between weeks- and 15, and opened the ‘09 season against Washington, again, just like the ‘08 season.
